The Colour Red

July 25th 2007 14:13

Did you know that the colour red represents Passion, love, danger and death? They are such great opposites but they all have one thing in common - Red is a fashionable colour. This bright fad all started when I was looking through an old magazine and spotted a very nice red Dolce and Gabbana winter coat. My friend then gave me a trendy red Mimco bag (pictured above) for my birthday and I thought that Red will be pretty fashionable this year. Soon enough, every single shop I went to started stocking more and more Red clothes and I believe that this colour will be the latest trend all throughout winter.

So what exactly is nice when it comes to red? There are many ideas one can come up with and the important thing is to be creative. Here are some simple and fashionable red items we can obtain from most clothing stores.

We all know that winter in Australia is an extremely cold season as a result of all the global warming that has been happening so the most important thing is to have a big red coat to wrap up ourselves in. This red coat I actually like alot because it is trendy and also have alot of buttons with a nice collar, suitable for wearing at work and also while shopping. Red coats match with almost anything but they go especially well with black pants.

For a feminine look but also to keep your professional image for work, I would suggest matching red with either black, a designer's favourite colour to wear. Wearing a black coat and pants will make you look slim but also make your red sweater stand out and give you that very feminine yet professional look. Something great to wear to work!

If you're planning to go shopping, clubbing or partying, a cute red top is excellent, whether it is revealing or not. This cute red top (pictured above) is the trend of them season, as it is made out of wool with cute little pom poms on the pockets. The style of this top is actually rather fashionable ever since the black, white and grey trend had started for winter so be sure to look out for this item if you love the style of this top but would love to own it in a colour.
