In the new millennium we have become more and more reliant on gadgets, gizmos and technological breakthroughs. Not to be left behind the fashion world has also began embracing the trend by merging clothing with our electronic friends.
Traditional materials like cotton, wool and Gortex are now being replaced by fibre optic threads that compliment the wearer’s passion for portable sound, vision and data.

These are just two examples of what I’m talking about, and many more can be found about the net. So how long do you think it will be before the more prestigious fashion houses embrace this next step in clothing design and integrate the technology into their haute couture range?
Maybe one day we will have smart clothes that allow the user to change the colours of fabric with ease. Perhaps a mini skirt that doubles as a perv detector would be more practical?
