Street Chic - Dolphin Hotel

As some of you may know, I attended the Orble Xmas Gathering yesterday at the Dolphin Hotel, and while we were having a merry old Orble time, I saw this girl walking past our table wearing:

- really bright and colourful Material Boy guy's jacket as a dress, falling off one shoulder

- strappy black singlet under it
- long Tiffany & Co necklace with pendant tucked in (she pulled it out to show me - I think it was a Return to Tiffany heart tag pendant)
- Chanel logo earrings
- ring on right ring finger that I forgot to ask her about, sorry
- pink Havaianas
- Moschino bag

Does she not have the hottest dress sense?! I love the way she's taken an already awesome mens jacket and turned it into an uber-fantastic mini dress. She's also selected her accessories very cleverly, teaming the dress with simple understatedly elegant jewellery that doesn't clash rudely with the multicolours. And OMGOSH THAT MOSCHINO BAG!! As soon as I saw it I felt an overwhelming wave of happiness. I was so excited I think I may have even called it a Mosheeno bag in my delirium (Moschino is actually pronounced Moskeeno - and yes I feel like a very big tool since I actually posted the correct pronunciation many months ago).

If you're reading, Charlotte, thank you for letting me take your photo. I'm so grateful to be able to share it with all my readers - there is just SO MUCH to love about it!

I love that outfit. Though I could never carry it off. I'd look like a clown.....while Charlotte looks fantastic (not fair!).

KylieW I don't think I could pull it off either...for starters, the jacket would be waaaay too short for me hehe

JohnDoe do you really see Ken Done?! I think Ken Done is more muted...he doesn't use such electric colours...maybe that's what you meant by the "gone wrong" bit haha

Sheeesh, I really was hungover ... perhaps it was because I was frothing at the mouth and transmogrifying into the lycanthrope simply didn't notice ... although as JD will confirm, we did notice a few other bits and bobs ...

It might be brave though for inner Sydney, but no less creatively beachy?

I was on my way to work in that photo so I had make-up on! And hahahaha yes I am quite over leggings (well footless ones anyway), especially now that summer has officially started...if I were to wear Charlotte's jacket/dress thing, I'd probably tuck it into a pair of mini shorts or something

Yeah I wasn't too subtle was I haha...ummmmm she said it was a guy's jacket, didn't specify what guy...maybe she bought it for herself! Guys' clothing is great, I bought like 4 guys' singlets today from Best & Less and Lowes to wear as tanks...I told the sales assistant they were for my brother though haha
