Website name: www.revolveclothing.com
Location: US (La Mirada, CA)
Category: Designer and Brand wear
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (Almost too much choice)
Take a big deep breath and dive into the amazing list of brands available to achieve your LA Style at Revolve Clothing. A must for Mischa-wannabe's, Revolveclothing.com is a favourite of US shoppers. While you can purchase many of these brands here in Australia, you can get a greater range, often at a cheaper price delivered right to your door.
Navigating this site is simple. Revolve have ensured that there is a minimum amount of clicks to find anything. They stock a lot of well known US brands like Juicy Couture and Paper Denim and Cloth but also have some internationals like Diesel and our own beloved Sass and Bide. You can also find some higher end designer garments like the Vivienne Westwood Anglomania range and funky pieces from Gwen Stefani's label LAMB. Dare I mention it, they also have designs from the Cruise family's latest buddy, Victoria Beckham.
You can shop by brand (but be prepared to SCROLL down the massive list) or by category. There are easy links to new stock, sale stock and their style blog, which gives handy hints on the latest looks and street style from around the globe (currently featured is Croatia). Revolve have a "Find Your Size" feature, which allows you to choose to only show items that are your size. This saves a lot of fussing around and clicking on things that aren't in stock for you in particular, which, given the plethora of choice, comes in handy.
Within your shopping bag you can choose to chat with someone live on line. I can imagine that coming in handy for some people who want to know if something runs a little large or small in size, or whether or not an item may be coming back in stock some time soon.
The handy thing about the Revolve sales is the northern hemisphere season difference. That is, their winter stuff is being cleared when we need it most in the southern hemisphere. They are also a "Hacker Safe" certified site to ensure customers have a sense of security when buying.
All clothing items are modelled for visualisation and an understanding of fit and cut. Regular newsletters also entice you with wonderful editorial style photography to check out their latest offerings.
Jeans are their best offering by far. You can pick up a pair of celebrity style denims by Citizens of Humanity, True Religion or Blue Cult amongst many others. For International buyers, once you spend over US$100, you are entitled to free shipping (or if you're in the US it's always free). A massive bonus. Jeans are categorised by cut; e.g. - Bootcut and Flare, Skinny and Straight, Wide Leg and Trouser.
You can even pick up labels for kids like Chip and Pepper, Da-Nang and Earnest Sewn. For the kidults amongst us there are edgy styles from Harajuku Lovers and the Disney label. For the sophisticates you can pick up a gorgeous piece from Nanette Lepore or NZ's Deborah Sweeney.
Once you've created a login you can store a "wish list" (which is stored for ages) so you can keep track of what you're after as you tour the site and receive your email newsletters each week. This comes in very handy since there's so many wonderful pieces that will be coveted globe wide.
