L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival Begins
Yesterday marked the launch of the “Melbourne Fashion Festival” with the L’oreal Gala grand opening event. Located on the lawns of Government house, theage.com.au was in attendance for the bubbly, food and hobnobbing. Amongst the 400 on the guest list were actress Miranda Otto and Models Doutzen Kroes, Megan Gale and Kirsty Hinze.

Celebrating its 12th Birthday, “festival director Karen Webster said it was unique in the fashion calendar because, the "public are the A-list". The invite only affair attracted the glamorous elite but was not open to the general public. Theage.com observes that despite the “everybody is welcome” creed celebrities, politicians and industry heads were the only ones to receive an invitation.
The official launch of Festivities Monday saw a lot more open catered affair in the form of The Bond Undies Breakfast which was headlined by the former Tennis star turned spokesman and model Pat Rafter. Better still there was free early morning chow.
