leather

True style never shouts. Leather raises its voice, but it never shouts. It winks suggestively, it might even gesticulate, but it never booms or howls.
I like the feel of leather. Sometimes it’s cool and firm. Sometimes it’s hot, almost moist. I like the smell of leather; raw and arousing, primal and animal-like.
There’s something intrinsically hip, yet old school about wearing leather. The more you wear on your body at one time, the more intense you appear to others. It’s like saying “Here I am. Period.”
Do you want to make a deliberate fashion statement?
Perhaps you’re an easy rider from way back? Maybe you grew up listening to Jim Morrison ...
... or Suzy Quatro?
Or maybe you’re just tough at heart?
There are the other hides of course; suede and new buck. But suede is for soft cock metro-sexuals, and new buck is for pretentious rich kids.
Leather is a particular style choice for pop stars ...
Some celebrity wannabes feel it necessary to sans the top for maximum effect.
You can don a leather skirt when you want to let the world know you're a good girl gone bad ...
Although exactly what kind of fashion statement they're trying to say is sometimes difficult to appreciate ...
While some people have no idea about colour co-ordination ...
I do like an elegant pair of leather gloves on women though ... very Emma Peel.
Speaking of which, the first leather article I owned was a pair of my grandfather’s gloves and a pair of ski wrist bands. The gloves were too big, but I loved them. Both pairs were lined with wool. I felt legendary with the wrist bands on, like I was a champion skier.
We mustn't forget the appeal of leather in the realm of gay pride ...
Or the gay icon ...
There's the underground look, of course ...
... and strict leather fetish.
Leather will never not be in style. It’s chic, but streetwise, hip, but not self-conscious, cool, without the attitude …
… Leather: the tiger of winter fashion.
