We all love the stuff around with our hair. Sometimes just messing about gets awesome results - so much so there are people - cool hunters - who stuff about wandering through the cool kids trying to work out what's awesome enough to package and sell in a box.
BLAH! to that says I. We don't need catwalks and magazines removed from our reality to tell us what is awesome. Awesome is as awesome does, says I. With that in mind, here's a collection of homegrown awesome - from crafty hands to an experimental head of hair, captured on film and dumped on the net. Unsuspecting, unpretentious, and unable to be beaten - a collection of awesome hair ideas, straight from the people who dared to pursue them.
Punks not dead and never will be. When giving yourself crazy spiky Rah Hair looks this awesome, it is immortal.
OF course, you're not a computer generated image (I hope). However the hair style here is subtle while awesome. Real people would look sweet with it gracing their scalp, too.
This is one of the more extreme options you could elect to take. This Dude has just effectively shaved half his hair off. You can see more of the process and the aftermath HERE. The thing with making something like this into your awesome haircut, is that it has to be extreme. You can make it nice, or make it wild, but it will always, ALWAYS be extreme. Make sure you're ready for that.
X-Men is the Shiznits. If you want to do your hair to match a comic book character, you'd better make sure it works before you rock up with a comic in one hand. Luckily this does, and the world is better for it.

Sprezzatua is an Italian word meaning to make the difficult look easy. You know if your heart that something like this took bloody ages to finish, but honestly, the way it falls so effortlessly and naturally, spiraling in delightful unpretentious curls is simply perfect.
Short hair on girls can be terrible. It can also shoot daggers of awesomeness so hard your head gets all crumpled. This is a clear example of the latter.
Maybe it's not cool in the traditional sense of the word, but the white boy Afro will forever hold a place in the hearts of many. And rightly so.
