Glamour Magazine’s Best Dressed of 2008.

Kate Moss Glamour Magazines #1
Waif thin, former heroin chic model Kate Moss has topped this reader’s poll for the 2008 Best Dressed list of the British edition of Glamour Magazine.
Toppling last years winner Kylie Minogue, Moss has somehow recovered from the backlash levelled at her in recent times. Now personally I can’t imagine a world where Minogue would ever feature top of any list other than most artificial looking or most slutted up, but hey that’s just me. (Minogue came in at #19 for 2008)
That being said I’m no devotee of Moss either with her negative body image broadcasting a global health crisis. Granted she has cleaned up and now at least filled out a little, still I suppose this is about wardrobe choices and has little to do with appearance.
From the Glamour.co.uk site:
GLAMOUR's editor, Jo Elvin, applauded Kate's "maverick approach to fashion" and how she "shows us all how to be a little more daring and experimental.”
Regular readers of fashionrat.com will know my choice would probably be song bird Lilly Allen, but it seems she didn’t even make the top 5.
In number 2 was the casually elegant Sienna Miller, though I’m not a fan I do admit that her dress sense is at least varied and often uniquely her own.
Coming in 3rd place we have US starlet Scarlett Johnnsen (Ghost World, Lost in Translation), who I must say does little for me.
4th in line was another American actress Rachael Bilson, whose beauty is undeniable but seems to generally be half naked in most shots I have seen of her.
Rounding out the top five was Friends star Jennifer (Ex-Pitt) Aniston, whom I haven’t seen in the last 12 months to really judge her style choices.
Personally it seems like a rather lacklustre list, with the bimbo factor continuing to usurp class and true glamour. However I will reserve judgement until the complete list is made available when the UK Glamour Magazine hits news stands this May.
