Galliano Girls
July 12th 2007 01:05
Ever wonder how you would look if you were a Galliano girl? Think Charlize Theron, Eva Green, Dita Von Teese, Kate Hudson and down to Jessica Alba! There are in fact many more Hollywood glamour girls that are totally hooked by John Galliano's imaginative yet beautiful creations.
Galliano himself has reined the Christion Dior empire since 1997 and recently celebrated the 60th birthday of the fashion house with the latest Haute Couture collection. The show was held at the Paris’ Versailles on the 2nd of July, and I think this gave the show an even grander feel to it.
Unfortunately this time Galliano was also mourning the loss of a chief designer, Steven Robinson, which passed away during the process of creating this collection. This was then put into the theme of the whole collection, which was to celebrate the life of this special friend as well as the man Christian Dior himself which also died tragically at a young age in 1957.
The celebration was followed by an after party with a Spanish theme. Then again, Galliano was born in Gibraltar, so he wanted this special night to be even more special to him. Many of today’s world-class supermodels which have previously strutted the catwalk also came that night. To name a few, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Shalom Harlow were some of the hundreds of guests that enjoyed the evening entertained by DJ Jeremy Healy and a group of singing youngsters from the Loyola Boys' Choir. What a combination!

Christian Dior holds a special place in my heart, and always will. I mourn his loss to the fashion world and the world in general every day. Eva Green's outfit is delightfully delicious. It's inspirational and has given me so many ideas. Linda Evangelista is a princess, and always has been. I haven't been around much lately. I've been concentrating on my own fashion designs. They're nothing special but they mean a lot to me. One day, I hope to unleash them on an unsuspecting world.

His outfits are often the thing that interests me the most, though. It's pretty strange he once said that he'd choose what he's going to wear just before a show starts. I don't think so! ;-P
Thanks for your comment, by the way.
