Gael García Bernal

He’s hot. No doubt about it. And he dresses himself rather well I might add.
He’s short though, only 160 cm (5’6”), but hey, he still gets the ladies. He dated Natalie Portman for over a year.
Gael was born 30 November 1978, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Hey, he’s a Saggi like me, no wonder he’s so good-looking.
He began his acting career as a child working with his actor parents in several plays. At 17, he traveled to Europe and in 1999 he studied dramatic art at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England, for three years. He was the first Mexican to be accepted at this prestigious school.
"The talent survives and remains while the beauty is diluted," says the brooding matinee idol. Well, he doesn’t have to worry about his beauty being diluted for awhile to come methinks.
His first major film was the brilliant Amores Perros (2000). He followed it with the sizzling Y Tu Mamá También (2001); two standout roles which laid the man firmly on the international actor’s map.
Gael has been cast twice as the revolutionary guerrilla fighter Ernesto "Che" Guevara, first in a TV miniseries Fidel (2002) and later in The Motorcycle Diaries (2004).
Also in 2004 he played a striking role in Pedro Almodovar’s Bad Education. We got to see a whole new Gael in that one!
"I believe fervently in the nature, in truth and imagination, I believe in the blood, in life, words, and motivations," says Gael. His conviction and intensity, alongside his charisma and a kind of on-screen nonchalance, makes him a most compelling celebrity.
And he dresses so cool and funky. Clothes love him. The camera loves him. Women adore him. Men want to be like him.
Hell, if I wasn’t already in such hot demand myself I’d go out of my way to go-the-Gael-look.
Gael mixes the casual street weat with the cosmo attire of the ladies man with gusto and style.
And he makes a head scarf look downright funky.
