Fashion Fools

Sorry about being so lax with the posting. Uni's becoming totally insane.
Anway, a while ago I wrote about my style icons, but today while trawling through my usual fashion news, I came across a picture of a celebrity that made me realise just how badly some people get it wrong.
The person in question was the queen of the denim hot-pants, Jessica Simpson (see picture below).
Now, I've never been a fan of Jessica's style. The whole short shorts, big hair and even bigger cleavage really doesn't do it for me. But recently she has had some major brain explosions.
For starters there her whole brunette thing. Now I know she's dating a soulful singer-song writer, but just dying her hair darker isn't going to make her any smarter. She has already made an absoloute tool of herself on international televsion on The Newlyweds and getting some chestnut highlights isn't going to erase that from our memories.
Then of course there was the fact that unlike many starlets, she really looks so much better as a blonde. This whole honey-coloured skin and hair thing just looks terrible.
Secondly, I don't know if she has recently fired her stylist (and if she hasn't, then she should for letting her leave the house like this), but she's been wearing some of the most unflattering things. And it's not the fact that she's gained a bit of weight, because I'm all for celebs putting on a bit of meat. But seriously, there are ways to dress to suit bodies like hers, she's just way off.
For example, if you have a large chestal region (ie. big boobs) you should NOT wear high necklines, seriously it makes you look boxy and much bigger than you are. See Jessica below to see how badly it can go wrong.
Also, I'm all for high waists, and I think high waisted jeans can look fantastic (Mischa Barton wore a great pair earlier this year), but if you're a bit hippy then you should really stay away. Especially if you wear wide legged ones with a roll-neck top. I never thought I'd say it but Jessica is not showing enough skin!
Oh Jessica, I hope the fashion gods strike you with some qualtiy inspiration and soon. Seriously it's worrying me.
