Carmen Electra without makeup

When discussing fashion, it's usually implied that makeup is involved. If no makeup, then at least some heavy Photoshopping.

After all, who are we to let our natural ugliness shine through? Cover it up with foundation, paint on new eyebrows, and drape your features with unnatural colours.

It can be shocking to see celebrities without their makeup - it's like looking at a different person; a person who could be sitting right next to you without being noticed or gawked at.

Yes... seeing celebs without their makeup reminds us, rightfully, that they're just like us... only luckier.

Sometimes, very rarely, people look better without their makeup... Carmen Electra:

I've never found her attractive, thinking that she's a very plasticky looking woman, especially with all the makeup. Without, though, she looks like a nice-looking girl next door. What's wrong with that look?

People *always* look better without make up imo, maybe a little bit and believe me when I say 'a little bit' I really mean 'none at all, whatsoever'.

Of course I'm in a small minority being like this

As for carmen, it's the lighting.

True story----I used to be heavily into photography. I took pictures of this girl who I thought was a knock out. She came back a few days later to get her pictures without her make up. I didn't even know who it was for a couple of minutes!!!!!

I get downhearted when I see people with obviously way too much make-up on. I think sometimes they feel that people are judging them more harshly than they think and they want to shield themselves behind a facade of foundation.

Ask any Joe/Jane Average and they'll tell you a natural look is much better than a heavily cosmetic look.

As for Carmen, yes she does look very attractive without make-up, and the way this shot is taken exemplifies her natural features rather than trying to create fake ones.

Don't discount the power of Photoshop though. Are her eyes REALLY that blue in real life? ...

Photoshop does work magic, it's true.

All the comments here have supported the no-make up look, but, sadly, I think we live in a culture that emphasizes the overuse of makeup.

Cibby we definitely live in that culture. Every beauty campaign features an over-glamourised celebrity with super-long/thick lashes, heavily lined eyes, densely coloured cheeks, and a full glossy pout. Hard to live up to...

You're right Sisi, despite whatever everyone says they secretly prefer, there is a lot of pressure on women to be madeup.

This is something that men couldn't possibly understand because they don't grow up with that expectation. And it's far worse if you don't have a flawless complexion.

I can't imagine going to work without make up and still being taken seriously. I just wouldn't be considered 'professional' - and I don't even have the added pressure of being a celebrity in the limelight, getting snapped at my worst moments (and not just when willingly posed, in a studio, with a pro photographer doing everything in his capacity to make me look 'naturally beautiful') like Ms Electra.

Now I know Carmen is really fine. This photo and the other photos on the net are all the proof I will ever need to see she is one of the finest chicks on the planet. I don't know what man would not be happy to see this gift waking up beside him. I don't think I would ever get a damn thing down with her in my life but i would be in olympic shape thats for damn sure.

LMFAO first of all tara leah patrick is her real name and she is goregous with or without i got so tired of jelious people shes irish and german we are amongst the hottest mix out there she also has cherokee indian in her i love her shes so down to earth she has a amazing body and i know what she goes thru no nobody needs makeup but some do lol makeup is a form of art to me i love make up and i get a million compliments on how i do it and similar to miss carmen i dont need it im naturally beautiful as is carmen and i get sick of people who have nothing better to then hate with certain woman makeup just enhances there beauty and gets jelious woman like the one who made these comments about her shes a model its her job to wear her makeup and dress up just like any other celeb so go find another person to hate on hater

Not really sure how many people here actually have a female in their lives but I thought most females where the stuff. The thing is men sleep with women to see what they will look like in the morning. Carmen will be fine in the morning, no problem here.
